It was easy to hook up and worked as advertised for my Mac. Have used mostly for skype and the people we have called said the picture was clear and the sound was great. Have told others about it. -- Great value for a webcam

I bought this more for the Mic than for the camera. Mircophone is the best. The camera is good. Seems even better than the iSight on the computer I have. Adjusts well to different light conditions. The retractable feature of the camera is great when it is not in use. People don't feel they are being watched or recorded ;) Good buy for using with iChat or Google Talk. -- Great Mic with added camera

Pros: Great sound, good video, tough design, nice retro-ish look. Great customer support from Blue Mic Co. Finally Got a good unit.

Cons: Short USB, received multiple defective units.

Other Thoughts: MAKE SURE you are using USB 2.0, not any lower. If you do use something lower than 2.0 the quality is HORRIFICALLY bad. -- Many defective units....

alright,i've seen this webcam get either rave reviews or just get slammed. and after reading so many reviews i wanted to share something with everyone so people won't buy this expecting the wrong scenario. It might be Mac compatible, but everyone who is complaining of poor video quality is saying they have a Mac..........this could be why there are Mac versions of a bunch of webcams. I don't know what about the Mac is the issue(im curious as to whether it's the os though, cause everyone is saying it sucked on leopard or snow leopard or osx10) but if you have a Mac,this isn't going to work that well for you. PC owners seem to be able to get the hd video out of this, but also realize that shipping companies are not gentle with your product. it gets tossed onto a truck with other packages sitting on top of it,tossed around a warehouse till it boards another truck and that process is repeated till it arrives at your door or the retail store.


i do not own this product,i gave it a 3 to be fair,though i am in the market for a webcam and im looking at this one. if i don't buy this one ill probably buy a blue microphone because most of the other webcams have crap audio. ill update this once i purchase a webcam. -- Mac owners
