This cheap Webcam (emphasis on cheap) worked on arrival, so that was worth at least 3 stars. The other reviews posted for this item are a bit confusing now that I have the Webcam in my possession.

*There is no IR, just 6 white LED's. Some people posted that the LED's come on by them selves or in low light, that is not the case there is a switch / slider on the USB cord that lets you increase or decrease the light intensity.

*The clamp works fine.

*The swivel head works fine.

*The focus ring on is pretty basic you unscrew or screw in the lens for focusing. It never gets very clear but you can tell when it is in focus.

As for the odd reviews that do not match this product, I can only assume that who ever is selling this thing or the manufacture has changed the product or has a few different versions.

For the price I paid for this thing I was impressed.

Bottom line: If you want a webcam that sort of has the ability to see at night and do not want to pay much, then this is your webcam. If you want great picture and video quality shell out some more cash and buy a more expensive model. -- Cheap webcam that works

Just plug it into your PC (won't work on MAC), and tweak a few color and brightness settings...ready to go. It doesn't come with software, but I knew that ahead of time and I already had Windows Movie Maker anyway. Microphone could be better, so speak up a bit. Other than that, you can't find a better webcam for the price. -- Worth It!
